Trip to Atlanta

Picture(s) of the Day for 11/12/2010. It's my first trip to Atlanta (aside from an occasional layover in the airport). My friend and I spent the entire day downtown.

We started off by shopping/eating in the Atlanta Underground.


After the Underground, we visited the nearby state capitol building...

...which is filled with portraits of famous Southern dignitaries...

...and a museum featuring curiosities like a two-headed calf and a two-headed snake.


After walking for what seemed to be 45 miles, we reached Coca-Cola World. (FYI- Coca-Cola is headquartered in Atlanta.) For someone who drinks Diet Coke for breakfast, this was almost a religious experience.
