Picture of the Day for 11/2/2010. Since I was unable to obtain tickets to view the shuttle launch from the Kennedy Space Center, I spent the day scoping out the next best viewing sites for Wednesday's launch. Based on my internet research, Space View Park in Titusville, FL seems to be the best option because it is directly across the river from the launch pad. Pictured above is the view from Space View Park.
While in Titusville, I ate lunch at Dixie Crossroads, a much-recommended restaurant famous for their shrimp. It was divine. (I ended up eating there three times during my week in Florida.)
Also, it's not every day that you visit a place surrounded by large statues of shrimp.
