Beef Stroganoff

Picture of the Day for 5/30/2010. I cooked my first meal ever since I moved into my parents' house last August. I don't count all the soup I made back in March for my office's soup cook-off contest since that fell under the category of "culinary experimentation." It is appropriate that I made my mother's beef stroganoff recipe since that's what she used to fix for me quite frequently when I came over for Sunday dinner. It's amazing that a dinner entrée can make you weepy, but that's exactly what happened tonight. I'm perfectly able to cook this dish myself, but I miss my mother making a fuss over me.
