Why Bother Shoveling?

Picture of the Day for 1/9/2014. I spent an hour shoveling my driveway and front steps. I was feeling quite a sense of accomplishment until I looked out the window (which is quite dirty- eek) just a mere half-hour later to discover a fresh new coating of snow. Sigh. It made me wonder why I even bothered to make the effort in the first place.
