Picture of the Day for 3/20/2011. I'm starting to feel curmudgeonly about the cold winter weather that continues to persist clear into the third week of March. I felt a slight glimmer of hope today when I saw these budding tulips in my neighbor's yard, but that moment passed quickly. I suspect the tulips' bravery at poking their heads above ground will be cruelly punished by a freezing late-season snowstorm.
