Picture of the Day for 2/25/2011. Despite having gotten to bed at about 2:00 a.m., I was on the road a few hours later by 5:00 in the morning. I was not so much heading toward my destination of West Palm Beach, FL as I was fleeing my rather seedy hotel, the Orlando Metropolitan Resort. Trust me, it was not a resort.
I took the Florida turnpike which bisects the middle of the state. I love this road since it has a "middle of nowhere" vibe which allows you to enjoy the Florida landscape. The sun rising over the horizon was spectacular- a big orange/yellow ball. Wish my camera captured what I was actually seeing.
