White Ibis

Picture of the Day for 10/11/2013. Made another visit to the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter, FL. (My first visit was at the beginning of the year- way back in January). I love the White Ibis* birds. They seem so exotic compared to what I'm used to seeing in my natural habitat- the Rocky Mountains. 

*I THINK I've correctly identified the species. If I'm wrong, let me know. I kind of feel like some of the tourists I would encounter in Yellowstone when I worked there 20 years ago who mis-identified animals all the time. Basic ones too, like moose and elk. Ah no, that elk you're pointing at is definitely NOT a moose. Just saying.
