Line of Demarcation

Picture of the Day for 3/9/2014. The lush green lawn on the left-hand side of the picture belongs to my neighbor. The pale, winter-worn lawn on the right belongs to me. The line of demarcation is very clear which I find fascinating. What does my neighbor know that I don't?
