Picture of the Day for 7/17/2012. Today is the one-year anniversary of my dad's death. I made a quick visit to his gravesite and left him a strawberry sundae from McDonald's. He practically lived on those the last few months of his life so it seemed to be an appropriate gesture. Knowing my practical dad, he probably would have considered it a waste of a perfectly good sundae.
Whenever my sister Paula bought him a sundae, she asked for extra strawberry sauce. I didn't even ask for extra sauce, but they gave it to me anyway. I wonder if my dad "nudged" the McDonald's server from the great-beyond. It certainly made me smile.
