Picture of the Day for 10/9/2010. Took my dad for another scenic ride. Today's drive took us through Emigration Canyon, notable for being the route the Mormon pioneers followed when they first arrived in the Salt Lake valley in 1847.
This time of year the sagebrush is blooming with yellow blossoms. The bushes are especially profuse in the mountains. For all my years living in Salt Lake City, this is the first time I've taken notice of them.
