Picture of the Day for 3/17/2010. I won the soup cook-off at work! (OK- I only won by one vote, but it's still a victory!) Yay! As the winner, I was awarded the golden ladle. As the loser, Nimmy was forced to wear the Soup Nazi hat. As punishments go, that wasn't too bad.
Whew! I can now get on with my life. I'm looking forward to doing something different during the evenings than testing soup recipes.
Is it the same tomato soup you made for Thanksgiving (or was it Christmas) a few years back? If so, may I have the recipe? I loved that stuff. Congrats on winning!?
ReplyDeleteHey Rachel. It is the same tomato soup I made for Christmas awhile ago. Here's the recipe. Take a large can of Campbell's tomato soup (the family-sized can- not the regular sized can), an 8 ounce block of cream cheese, and 2 cups of half-and-half. Heat all the ingredients on medium heat until the cream cheese melts and then increase the heat until right before the soup starts to boil. You can let it simmer, but don't let the soup boil. Right before you are ready to serve the soup, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder.
