Creative Hands

Picture of the Day for 8/2/2013. My sister Robynne and I were shopping at a thrift store when we came across a 22-volume set of craft books (sewing, needlework, crochet, knitting) from the 1970's. Since each book was only $1, we decided that I would buy half the set and she'd buy the other half. I've had a great time browsing through the books. In a clear case of "what is old is new again," I find that I'm kind of digging (to use the vernacular from that era) the 1970's fashion. It has a ton of great tutorials on sewing which I like as well.

I was delighted to see this pattern for an Eleanor of Aquitaine costume. My 13-year-old great-niece Hayley is totally obsessed with her.
