Airborne Space Nerd

Picture of the Day for 4/22/2011. I flew into Melbourne, FL today. Quick topic detour - the Melbourne airport is the tiniest airport I've ever flown into. Loved it. It was an extremely short walk from the gate to baggage claim and then to the car rental desk. Very quaint.

As we were flying into Melbourne and passed over the Kennedy Space Center, I could see the Vehicle Assembly Building where the Apollo rockets used to be assembled and where the space shuttles are currently readied for launch. It's that tiny white blob in front of the wing. You can totally see it, can't you?!
