Traditional Harbinger of Fall

Picture of the Day for 9/24/2014. I blogged a few weeks ago about the first sign of autumn. I've decided that announcement was too precipitous and I should wait to document that first sign until I see a single, yellow leaf resting on my car. That seems to happen every year and in fact I blogged about it a couple of years ago. A single, yellow leaf feels melancholy and existential somehow. Very appropriate for fall and the waning year.
