10,800 Phrases

Picture of the Day for 7/8/2013. My sister Robynne and I have been rushing to complete her "Following Directions with the R, S, and Z Sounds: Listen-Speak-Practice" book before we leave to exhibit at a national speech therapy conference in a few days. This book is her longest yet at 379 pages. One-hundred and twenty-six of those pages consist of short 3-word and 4-word phrases to help students drill the R, S, and Z sounds. On a whim I calculated the total number of phrases included on these pages. 10,800. Yep, nearly 11,000 individual phrases that Robynne wrote and I proofread. Have you ever heard of the expression "herding cats"? Well, this was just like herding thousands of cats. 10,800 of them to be exact.
