Picture of the Day for 8/10/2012. My friend Richard's son (also named Richard) received his mission call to serve a two-year LDS mission in the mail this week. He waited to open the letter until all his family and friends could assemble. Richard (the elder) invited me to attend the gathering so we could have a chance to see each other before he moved his family to California the next day.
I've known Richard (the younger) since he was a two-year-old so I was pleased to be included. Before he opened the letter, I asked him where he was hoping to be called and he replied somewhere cold. He got his wish! He's going to Halifax, Canada.
