Sun and the Moon

Picture of the Day for 5/14/2014. Hopped in my rental car and started driving home late this afternoon from Hesperia, California.

I got a good dose of both the sun and the moon on my journey.

Here I am passing by the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System outside of Primm, Nevada. It's amazing how bright these solar panels are. They are also a little creepy-looking. Like something out of a science fiction movie.

The moon was almost as bright over St. George, Utah this evening.
