Picture of the Day for 2/13/2012. The 23-foot long dumpster we filled up with trash, furniture, and old food storage from my parents' basement was picked up and hauled off today. I know it's just trash, but I still felt a pang about seeing it go. My parents spent nearly 60 years in this home and it makes me a little sad to see their life disassembled so quickly. I suspect that on the "other side" my parents couldn't care less about the possessions they left behind.
