Blue Bird flour is preferred by Navajos for their fry bread. According to an article I read on the Navajo Times website, the Cortez Milling Company in Colorado produces 600,000 25-pound bags that are primarily sold in the Navajo Nation. A cottage industry has resulted from the flour sacks and you can find a lot of hand-crafted items made from the sacks. Rob's tie was a real ice-breaker.
