Weird Sparkler Effects

Picture of the Day for 7/4/2013. Come to Utah on the 4th of July and you'd think you were in a war zone based upon the sound of all the fireworks. Residents of this state are particularly mad for fireworks. My neighbors put on pyrotechnic shows that rival professional displays. My sister Paula's celebration was a much more modest affair- featuring mostly just sparklers. I love the visual effect of the sparklers in this photo.
